Tapestry Farms,

Fresh food – on a first name basis…
We are a young, family-run farm raising and producing fresh food on a first name basis for a smaller CSA membership base. We believe good food takes time & our priority is raising heritage breed livestock and heirloom seeds appropriate for our region and climate. Our ten acre farm is in Beaver County AB, just 80 km east of Edmonton and has been in operation since 2017.
Our mission includes:
Reducing food waste and excessive disposable packaging
Encouraging investment in our local economy
Raising awareness about the importance of plant and animal diversity
Pushing past the limits of a short growing season and extending ourselves whenever possible to provide fresh, nutritious and tasty food throughout the year.
Our season is 16 weeks. If we had it our way we would be growing for 6 months of the year and offering farm preserves year round, but we aren't there just yet. With the use of our greenhouse and frost cover we are planning for a June start that will run into September, and possibly longer.
Our pick up days are Tuesday or Thursday every week at 6:00 pm and our pick up location has generously been donated by our friends at Situation Brewing conveniently located just off Whyte Ave in downtown Edmonton.
