Homestead Hearth, Onoway

Welcome! We are a family of city transplants now located on a beautiful little farm just outside of Onoway. Our goal is to produce as much food, sustainably, enjoyably and by hand, as we can on our 20 acres. Besides vegetables, we also have hens, milk goats and sheep.
Here is how it works: You buy a garden share at the beginning of the season. We plant based on the number of families we have.
What do you get? A bin of fresh picked vegetables each week.
What are we growing? Well, everything we can think of…We have had potatoes, carrots, lettuce, radishes, peas, beets, Swiss Chard, turnips, beans, pumpkin, zucchini, patti pan, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, dill and this year we will be planting even more!
Deliveries to Edmonton will be made to a few central locations once a week.
With Homestead Hearth community shared agriculture, enjoy the pleasure of fresh, sustainable, locally food, grown for you personally, family to family.
We also offer fresh, totally free range eggs in an assortment of pastel colour from pink to blue. Our chickens have unrestricted access to the outdoors. In summer they often disappear into the woods and don't come home until dusk. You can eat these guilt free.
Season length is 12-14 weeks depending on the weather.
We do sell eggs separately from the baskets for $5 a dozen.
