Fisher Farms in Didsbury
Welcome to Fisher Farms, we are Nolan and Kari Fisher, 3rd generation farmers. Nolan is a hardworking father who has recently made a career change to full time manager on our farm. Kari is a mother who believes in a simple, seasonal lifestyle that embraces nature and fosters self sufficiency.
We are located 10 kms west of Didsbury, AB in the picturesque Mountain View County. Through hard work, devotion and creativity, we’ve entered the local food production market practicing sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and being conscientious stewards of the land. We produce ethically raised Berkshire and Tamworth free range pork without the use of synthetic drugs, and market them by offering whole and half shares, as well as retail cuts. Along with our delicious pork, we operate our market garden for our 75 share vegetable CSA program, as well as retailing our Harvest Montage bags which will include similar items as our weekly CSA box. To compliment our pork and CSA programs, we will be offering a limited number of 6-month Colored Yolks shares and with enough interest, we will offer a limited number of Tasty Bird shares. Deliveries will be made weekly into Red Deer and Calgary.
Vibrant health and connection to our land are the biggest reasons for us wanting to produce clean and delicious food. It is our focus to replenish our soil and pastures with compost, compost teas & extracts, as well as green manure, and it is our pleasure to offer products that we reap from our soil. We truly understand the meaning of connecting with your food, you vote 3 times a day for what you believe in, and you, as an educated eater, deserve clean ethical food.
